PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Set up and operate machines such as single head gear hobbing machines, gear shaving machines, gear lapping machines, gear shaping machines, etc. and operate dual head gear hobbing machines, to machine a variety of parts such as gears, pinions, coupling sleeves, splines, etc. where tooling, methods and sequence of operations have been established. Inspect parts using a variety of gear inspection equipment/tools. Perform PGFP & SPGFP process as directed.
